What Is LMA?

More than thirty years in the making, Laughing Moose Adventures began as a live-action roleplay system in 1993 and has evolved ever since — through chat-based play, tabletop refinement, and now, a new generation of storytellers.

At its core is a single idea: the Aspect system — a tiered, modular way to build any character, creature, or entity, in any setting, with the same clean foundation underneath.

How It Works

🎭 Players Create a Player Character — your voice, your choices, your story.
🎬 Game Master One person shapes the world, plays every NPC, and adjudicates the rules.
🎲 Dice A full polyhedral set (d4–d100) resolves uncertainty — the more refined your skill, the bigger the die.
📜 Aspects A tiered system of capability, from broad instinct to apex-level mastery.
